Penni was born with her nose in a book (figuratively speaking) and a love for words. She turned that passion into her profession in 2015, when she began an internship for a publisher. She started her own editing business in 2017. She has edited over 120 books, including for four publishers and many authors who hired her directly (some to self-publish, some to have the most polished book possible before submitting to agents or acquisitions editors). She sees her role as your editor as a kind of coach, mentor, and cheerleader rolled into one person helping you bring your best book to your readers.

She is a member of ACES: The Society for Editing and the Editorial Freelancers Association.Before launching her editorial business, she spent more than a decade in advertising and marketing communications, counseling clients in the financial, food and beverage, healthcare, pharmaceutical, and retail industries.

Ever since reading Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark in fourth grade, William has been drawn to dark fiction in all its forms: horror, paranormal, fantasy, sci-fi, and gothic. He copyedits in all these genres because he wants to enjoy what he reads during editing.He was drawn to copyediting in a round-about way. He began beta reading in 2019, and he noticed that he instinctually wanted to correct the grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors that he noticed in the stories. One day he asked an author if he could show her the errors he found in her manuscript. She was thankful, so he began doing the same for other authors that he beta read for. A little while later, he received his certificate in copyediting from UCSD and has been editing amazing novels since.
